British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology. Babtac sets the standard, and campaigns for more regulation within our industry, (much needed!). They only allow salons/clinics of the highest standard to join ensuring they hold the highest uk and internationally recognised qualifications. Did you know it’s possible to start trading and call yourself a beauty therapist/lash technician with just a half day online course and little of no knowledge of the anatomy & physiology of the body! 🚩insurance - does your therapist have any? 🚩are they properly qualified? 🚩is your therapist carrying out procedures in a clinically and hygienic environment 🚩uk - are they registered with the local council? For example: anyone using needles or performing injectables procedures in Derbyshire should be registered & inspected by the council. They should have a certificate visable for all to see, showing you that the premises have passed regulations and another certificate showing the practitioners name proving they are fully qualified, insuranced and approved to practice. #industryregulation #settingthestandard
